As a market leader in the field of polymer concrete, resocrete was instrumental in the design and development of the first PolyCrete (polymer concrete) balustrading in accordance with National Roads specifications, and this design has since been adopted as the standard for all bridge balustrading in this medium.
Our balucrete range consists of a spectrum of modular products, which, through unique design and assembly innovations, results in quick installation, reducing erection time on site, and minimizing disruption to the work place.

Designed specifically for applications with pedestrian and vehicular traffic, the handrail sections are fabricated solid cast with a locator groove cast into the underside. The posts are fabricated with two reinforcing matrices running the full length of the post and a 10mm diam pultruded composite re-bar cast 200mm into the bottom of the post, and protruding 100mm out of the end.
Guaranteed – horizontal handrails cannot be stolen!
Using our proven resocrete 1 : 1 epoxy, installation is carried out by drilling 12mm diameter locator holes 105mm into the concrete surface, applying epoxy to the re-bar protruding out of the bottom of the posts, and fitting the posts into place into the holes in the concrete surface, the bottom of the posts are also buttered with epoxy to give a firm base anchor.
M6 nylon sleeve anchors fitted with stainless steel fixings assist in attaching the handrail to the posts with one fixing every second post. The top of these fixings are also countersunk and the holes covered with epoxy to prevent removal of the handrail.
