Product Development
resocrete prides itself in offering extensive and efficient production capabilities with a focus on fast-track delivery from product conceptualization, to 3D modeling and CAD design, to fabrication and ultimately to delivery, without compromising on quality.
Aside from ongoing internal research and development, resocrete offers the service of highly qualified and skilled staff who will assist with all design and drafting processes of specialized products. This assures the customer of a high quality product with all the benefits that their cutting edge technology offers
All resocrete products are fabricated using specialized formulations each one unique in its own particular structural strength, aesthetic finish and usability. These formulations (Res Mod 1 to 48) have strengths varying from a compressive strength of 120 MPa, a flexural strength of 43 MPa, and a weight advantage surpassing that of structural concrete. They are also cost competitive, notwithstanding the various maintenance free finishes and detailing that can be moulded into or on the product.
resocrete’s domestic balustrade system and decking plank range has become the market leader in its product line, from the smallest renovation to whole complexes, and has received wide interest both locally and abroad with substantive orders from Australia for its maintenance free, chemical resistant, and enduring attractive qualities.
Polycrete Handrails – Lumacrete Photoluminescent Handrails
As a market leader in the field of polymer concrete, resocrete was instrumental in the design and development of the first PolyCrete (polymer concrete) handrail system in 2000 in accordance with National Roads specifications, and this design has since been adopted as the standard for all bridge, pedestrian and walkway balustrading in this medium.
This system is used extensively by SANRAL, most recently on the Cornubia Bridge in Umhlanga, the Steve Biko Bridge over the Buffalo River in East London, the Brandwacht Pedestrian Bridge in Mossel Bay and the Piet Swart Bridge near Kirkwood.
On the eZimbokodweni Pipe and Pedestrian Bridge in Umlazi, and piloting the first ever use of Photoluminescent Handrails in the world, as a direct result of using our resocrete Handrails, Naidu Consulting won the CESA AON Award 2020 for Technical Excellence Category and in 2021 it won the SANRAL SAICE 2021 NATIONAL AWARD_TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE
